Motherwort.
Known in the Philipines as "Marihuanilla" (translated as false marihuana), Motherwort is a relative of cannabis and indeed looks and smells very similar. It is less potent than typical cannabis, however Mind -Altering properties of Motherwort can not be denied !

Catnip
Leaves of this mint herb were used in tea as a beverage of choice in Europe before tea from Asia was introduced and became fashionable.  The Chinese believed that Catnip attracted good spirits and happiness.

Effects :

Catnip is consumed as strong tea or smoked for mild euphoria and relaxation and found to be more potent when mixed with Tobacco. Usually  a more evident perception of colors will occure along with other  visual effects, calmness and an active meditational state of mind with aa pleasant overall feeling.   

You may experience ease of concentration on discrete objects and thoughts, as well as many other possible changes in perception. 

Catnip also enhances and potentiates the effects of  Tobacco and Cannabis, meaning that less Cannabis is used to get the same effect.  Therefore Catnip is particularly usefull for smokers trying to break the addiction.
The effect of Catnip alone is mild and it is harmless and not addictive in moderate amounts.

Dosage / use : 

To make a strong tea, use about 25 grams in 1 litre of water. Boil it shortly and let it steep for 15 min. Strain and add honey or Stevia to taste.

Do not use boiling hot water when making tea as real hot water will reduce psycho-active substances content.

When smoked, one needs to smoke quite a bit to get a good effect.  Tobacco however, will enhance the effect when mixed with Catmint.
